- To organize and conduct programs on health, education and sanitation.
- To solicit and receive financial support from national and international organizations for welfare activities and to organize workshops/ programs in backward rural areas as well as for women. Also to intensively work for consumer awareness and for protection of their respective rights.
- To carry out and implement, for the integrated development of the society, various schemes/projects in the fields of education, health, water conservation, etc., securing due cooperation from time to time from the administration and various state/ central government agencies.
- To work for the welfare of helpless special/ handicapped children in the society.
- To help the homeless elderly for their rehabilitation in old age homes
- To organize seminars/ workshops/ exhibitions etc. to promote literary, cultural activities and fund raisings.
- To work for the development of traditional agriculture and social forestry and to carry out various schemes to promote medicinal and aromatic plantations.
- To carry out various child development projects to provide opportunities for the proper development of children. Also to implement various schemes relating to family welfare, nutritious food, primary education, health, entertainment etc., for the intellectual, psychological and physical development of the children.
- To make every possible efforts to control/manage the situation arising out of natural calamities like flood, earthquake, draught, epidemic etc. and to provide necessary relief to the victims by securing financial and material support/assistance from other institutions, agencies and persons.
- To manage and implement all Governmental and non-governmental schemes meant for human welfare and to secure financial and other assistance from State, National and International agencies/organizations/ government.
- To engage in all kinds of developmental work meant for the welfare of people living in urban slum areas.
- Any individual, who is Indian resident and who subscribes the aims and objectives of the society, is eligible to become the member of the society on approval of the executive body of the society.
- If the general house approves the membership of such new applicant, the applicant shall pay such amount as decided by the executive body, as admission fee.
- If the general house does not approve the membership of such new applicant, the said decision will be communicated to the applicant with or without assigning any reason thereof.
- Upon admission as a member, every member will have to pay such monthly/annually subscription as may be decided by the executive body.
- If the general house approve the membership of any applicant can be exempted from the monthly/annual subscription.
- A register of members, containing name, address, telephone number etc. shall be maintained by the secretary of the society or by any other person authorized by the executive body in this respect.
A person shall cease to be a member of the society if:-
- On tendering his or her resignation in writing to the president of the society and acceptance thereof by the President or General House; or
- On his or her death; or
- If he or she is found ineligible for becoming a member of the society; or
- If he or she absents himself from three consecutive Annual General Meeting of the society; or
- If he or she found to conduct himself or herself in a manner unbecoming a member of the society by two thirds of the other members present and voting of a meeting of the society called for the purpose of General house of the society.
Any member of the society will not be entitled to any remuneration save right to reimbursement of expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties. Neither any member nor any of their family members, nor any of their relatives or concerns in which any of these persons are interested will be entitled any benefit whether directly or indirectly.
Any member will not be personally liable for any act bona fide done on behalf of the society in the course of duties as a member or executive member.
The treasurer shall cause true and accurate accounts to be kept of all money received and spent and of all matters in respect thereof in course of management of society affairs or in relation to carrying out of the objects and purpose of the society. Accounts shall be closed on 31st March every year.
The bank accounts of the society shall be in such banks and operated by such member jointly with as may be resolved by the executive body of the society.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the society shall be held within two months of the close of each financial year.
NOTICE OF THE AGM
At least seven days notice shall be given for holding AGM to all the members or the society. Every notice of AGM shall specify the date, time and place of the meeting and contain a statement of the business to be transacted agenda.
QUORUM OF AGM
No business shall be transacted in the AGM unless 25% members of total strength of the society Is present in person. If within half an hour of the time fixed for AG the quorum is not complete, the meeting shall stand adjourned for the same day and hour in the next week. If, at the adjourned meeting a quorum is not present within half an hour of the time appointed for the meeting, the members present shall form quorum.
AGENDA OF THE AGM
The secretary shall, with the approval of the President, issue agenda of the AGM with the notice of the meeting which shall include, inter alia, following:
- To adopt report of the secretary of the affairs of the society.
- To adopt the balance sheet and income and expenditure account of the society.
- To consider such matters or subjects as may be included by the Executive body in the agenda and such other matters as may be brought forward by any member or members with the permission of chair.
Elections for the executive body of the society will be held every second year in the AGM of the society. Every member who is not in arrears of subscription prior to three months of the date of elections and who is not otherwise disqualified will have the right to vote in the elections of the society. Such members must have been on the roll of membership at least for three months before the date of AGM of the society to be held for the elections.
Nomination: The name of any member of this society against whom no arrears of subscription or otherwise are due may be proposed and seconded in writing by any two members against whom no arrears of subscription are due and they are not otherwise disqualified for any office of the Executive body.
Election Fee: Such election fee shall accompany the application for nomination for the respective posts of Executive Body as may be resolved by the Executive body. The above said application fee shall not be refundable unless the application is withdrawn on or before the last date stipulated for the withdrawal of application.
DURATION OF THE SOCIETY: The society is irrevocable and will continue in perpetuity.
AMENDMENT: Any amendment of this memorandum of the society shall be made only in accordance with the provisions of section 12 and 12 A of Societies Registration Act 1860 (Punjab Amendment Act 1957).
DISSOLUTION: The society is irrevocable, but in the event of any circumstances in which it is decided to determine the society, the society property after meeting all liabilities shall be given or transferred to some other institution having same aims and objectives as that of this society and similarly functioning without profit motive and eligible for exemption under section 80-G of the Income Tax Act as a public charitable/ religious institution with the approval of Commissioner/ Chief Commissioner of Income Tax/ Director of exemptions concerned.
SAVING CLAUSE: If any of the objects or any other provisions is found to be inconsistent with the character of a public charitable institution either under the provisions of law and regulations relating to public charities or the law and rules under direct laws relating to exemption of such public charitable institution, now or as may amended from time to time, such objects or provisions will be treated as non established in this memorandum and will stand omitted or modified so as to be consistent with such laws.
APPLICABILITY OF THE ACT : In the absence of specific rules and regulations, the provisions of the Act will apply.
Executive Body
- To look after the affairs and routine working of the society
- To preside over all the meetings of the society
- To organize/ manage or supervise all the functions, projects or properties of the society.
- To represent the society wherever and whenever required, if the General House does not appoint any other member as representative for any special occasion or purpose.
- To call for any emergency meeting, general house meeting or executive meeting of the society.
- To preside over and perform all the power and duties of the President in his absence.
- To assist the President in the functioning of the society.
- To do any other act for the upliftment of the society and for the fulfilment of the aims and objectives of the society.

- To keep or maintain a complete, full and accurate record of all the transactions, dealings, business and meetings of the society.
- To call meetings of the society, executive body meetings, general house meetings, emergency meetings etc. and to keep minutes and records of the meeting.
- To carry out and conduct correspondence on behalf of the society and to keep records thereof.
- To do any other act for the upliftment of the society for the fulfilment of the aims and objectives of the society.
- To preside over and perform all the powers and duties of General Secretary in his absence.
- To assist General Secretary in the functioning of the society.
- To do any other act for the upliftment of the society and fulfilment of the aims and objectives of the society.
- To collect funds, donations, subscriptions etc. for and on behalf of the society and to issue receipts thereof.
- To prepare accounts, statements, balance sheets with the help of General Secretary and to produce the same in the Annual General Meeting.
- To deal with financial matters of the society with guidance and assistance of President/ General Secretary.
- To incur contingent expenses for and on behalf of the society and to keep records thereof.
- To keep all the records of inflow and outflow of the funds of the society.
- He or she shall be responsible for the proper and safe custody, upkeep and maintain the movable assets, receipt books, vouchers, account books etc. of the society.
- To do any other act for the upliftment of the society and fulfilment of the aims and objectives of the society.
- To cross check all the records of inflow and outflow of the funds of the society.
- To make audit report for the purpose of submission to government authorities.
- To do any other act for the upliftment of the society and fulfilment of the aims and objectives of the society.
- To provide technical legal assistance including preparing comments / recommendations to be addressed to government officials and other interested parties on issues of society.
- To assist with proposal writing and fund raising activities.
- To do any other act for the upliftment of the society and fulfilment of the aims and objectives of the society.
- To convey the policies and interest of the organization to the public through various forms of media.
- To interact with the media persons and other eminent sports personalities on regular basis.
- To coordinate with the different sports associations within the district and state.
- To maintain media clipping files.
- To pay subscriptions regularly.
- To attend the meetings regularly.
- To adhere and fulfill the aims and objectives of the society.
- To follow or obey the instructions, decisions, programs, resolutions of the executive or general body of the society.
